Street Eats & Window Seats
Real travel advice for couples in their 40s and 50s — honest trips, genuine opinions, and no sugar-coating.
Travel for couples who still have a life at home
What happens when an early-rising, light-packing traveller marries a sleep-loving, souvenir-collecting explorer? Twenty-six years of travel stories — and counting.
We’re small-town Aussies in our late 40s and early 50s who’ve visited 45+ countries while working full-time jobs, surviving packing debates, navigation disagreements, and completely different travel styles.
Through Street Eats & Window Seats, we share real travel experiences, honest opinions, and practical advice for couples who love adventure but still live in the real world.
Meet Mark & Bec
A couple who travel differently — together
Our story began on a beach on New Year’s Eve, 1999. Twenty-six years of life, love, kids, and couples travel later — here we are, still exploring the world one trip at a time.
We created Street Eats & Window Seats because most travel content doesn’t reflect how real people actually travel — planning around annual leave, wanting comfortable hotels without overspending, and seeking genuine experiences over highlight reels.
Watch us travel the world
Street Eats & Window Seats started life as a YouTube channel and it still remains our number one focus going forward. Find new YouTube videos going live every week bringing you the best of what we are doing, where we are staying and what we are thinking.
